Managing Director

Born and raised in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, Morgana never thought she would leave her much-loved hometown and her beloved moors but was surprised to feel the call to Glastonbury and found herself relocating to the area in 1999.

She has worked on and initiated many projects in the past, both in a voluntarily and paid capacity. She has also been a foster parent for 10 years, a night-club/pub manager, an out-of-school Play Leader and whilsthas been a Field Worker in the Family Support Network and Social Services.  Since 12 years of age, Morgana has always undertaken some kind of voluntary service to the community, probably following in the footsteps of her late father and whom she says, “set a wonderful example of how much our lives can be enriched if we become a pro-active part of any community we happen to find ourselves to be a part of”.

Her spiritual path has taken many twist and turns and her own understanding of her life-experience has led her to conclude that because we are all so incredibly diverse and different - no one path or way of life has all the answers; each one containing hidden nuggets of golden wisdom. She is passionate about supporting individuals on their own path and her life and her work has reflected this.

Unitarian Universalists of Avalon

An inclusive and welcoming community for Glastonbury, Street and Wells. All are welcome! We are a diverse, welcoming community, that includes people who hold many different belief systems; both in terms of theology and how we perceive the Divine. We do not follow any creeds or dogmas. What unites us, is our support of the core values of both the General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches, the governing body for Unitarianism in Britain and the American Unitarian Universalist Association

Ascended Avalon
‘Avalon is within you and all around you, right now.’ ~ Maitreya Miranda* ~

Ascended Avalon hosts Full Moon meditations, spiritual retreats, and open gatherings in the form of satsang.

Maitreya Miranda* lovingly invites people of all faiths and paths to join together in her Divine presence, recognize their own Divine essence, and come to know and BE who they really are. An embodiment of Divine Love, Maitreya Miranda* shares the message of Oneness from the universal viewpoint of Spirit. Participants in her satsangs generally feel a profound sense of peacefulness and gratitude settle within their hearts, and have often remarked that it feels like “coming home.” Increased synchronicity and a deeper connection with Spirit in the days and weeks after participating in one of Maitreya Miranda*s satsangs is common.

‘Spirituality is not a concept to be debated abstractly, but a transforming power that has meaning only if it is lived daily.’ ~ Pierre Pradervand ~

Each satsang begins with the sacred HU chant/prayer and a silent meditation. The rest of the evening is spent looking at all aspects of Life and how to move through Life (and modern society today) harmoniously and effortlessly, with unconditional Love, inner Peace and outer Grace. The real meeting is beyond words, in the silence of the Heart, where all differences merge into Oneness.
