Shiatsu in Glastonbury
Shiatsu, meaning 'finger pressure',originated in Japan. Sometimes known as acupressure. The therapist uses the finger, thumbs, palms, and sometimes elbow, knees and feet to apply specific pressure along the body\'s ‘meridians’ or ‘energy channels’, in order to correct both physical and emotional imbalances. There are various styles of treatment incorporating aspects of Japanese massage traditions, Chinese medicine and ‘western’ anatomy and physiology.
